It's about finding that tiny bakery you'll keep going back to, the bottle of wine you'll tell all your friends about, or the market stall where you somehow end up spending far more than you planned.
So, welcome to Sip, Shop & Savour, our little corner of the newsletter where we'll share the places, people and flavours we think are worth shouting about.
First up is one of our favourite Saturday morning spot: Glasnevin Food Market.
Tucked away in an industrial corner of Dublin city, it's buzzing with brilliant local producers, the smell of fresh bread and coffee, and plenty of reasons to stay longer than you meant to.
A little insider tip: get there early if you're after vegetables. By 11 am, they're usually long gone.
Once you've grabbed your vegetables, treat yourself to a coffee while you wait for Mud Bakery to open. Trust us, it will become part of your Saturday morning ritual. Shane's sourdough cinnamon rolls are honestly some of the best we've ever had (and yes, we've done the hard work of trying quite a few!). If you're more of a savoury person, don't miss the Everything Bagel Focaccia. It's every bit as good.
Just beside him, you'll meet Sarah who's passionate about Spanish extra virgin olive oil. Stop for a chat and a taste. She'll happily convince you that cooking with good olive oil isn't just okay, it's exactly what you should be doing.
Then pop across to Mosaic, a gorgeous little wine stand full of bottles waiting to be discovered. Every Saturday they open a different wine to taste, making it dangerously easy to leave with a new favourite.
Before you head home, make one last stop at the cheese counter. The Gorgonzola is outrageously creamy, beautifully mellow, and worth the trip on its own.
And what's better than enjoying great cheese with a slice of freshly baked sourdough? Just by the entrance, you'll find the perfect loaf to take home.
