We were so proud of all our participants who took part in our Teens & Tweens Halloween Baking class. Bakers young and old rolled up their sleeves and the kitchen was buzzing with creativity as they whipped, mixed, dipped and decorated a whole range of spooky treats. From peanut butter spider cookies, chocolate-dipped treats and cakes with googly eyes there were more treats than tricks. After, they baked delicious pesto and spinach halloween hand pies. The atmosphere was full of fun and the families learned some great new baking techniques.
Everyone left with their own box of homemade treats — though we suspect a few didn't make it out of the kitchen! John and Lorraine enjoyed seeing the talent and enthusiasm of these young bakers, and we can’t wait to welcome them back for the next adventure in the Cookery School at Christmas.
Teen & Tween Gourmet Pizza Making Workshop - Sunday 21st December
- With a great range of Teen and Tween classes to choose from, adults and kids get to experience a wonderful morning; bonding, baking, tasting and learning new recipes. Baking recipes for kids is a great way to get them started in the kitchen and interested in developing their culinary curiosity ! There's always opportunity from that moment on, to use their imagination, and enhance their mathematic and science skills as well ; as baking requires measuring, mixing and patience. All highly useful and lifelong skills !
