This Christmas, Howth Castle Cookery School has a spectacular range of Christmas classes for friends and families to celebrate the season. We have created a series of festive hands-on workshops and Christmas-themed cookery experiences for you and your friends to enjoy in the historic surrounds of Howth Castle.
We are delighted to welcome back Mark Grehan of The Garden Floral Design Studio for a Christmas Wreath Making & Tablescaping Day. Guests will begin with coffee and oven-fresh pastries before heading into the Castle grounds to gather seasonal foliage. Back in the Cookery School, Mark will guide participants through styling festive tables and crafting their own beautiful Christmas wreath to take home. After, you will enjoy a delicious Cookery School lunch and a glass of wine with friends and family.
For something more spirited, our Mexican Christmas Feast and Tacos & Margarita Night bring vibrant seasonal flavours from Mexico to Howth, offering relaxed, sociable cooking and dining experiences — perfect for a Christmas outing with friends, sisters, besties or workmates.
For those preparing to host Christmas at home, our Christmas Rehearsal Dinner class is designed to take the stress out of the big day. Guests will learn to prepare the Cookery School’s much-loved apricot and pistachio-stuffed turkey, ham and pancetta rolls — cooked in just 30 minutes — along with roasties, vegetables and festive accompaniments with a Howth Castle twist. You can round off the evening with dinner and wine by the fire in the Butler’s Dining Room.
These festive classes offer a warm, memorable alternative to the traditional Christmas night out — combining creativity, food, celebration and time together.
